WISHLIST | SPRING

+ SPRING WISHLIST +

I know you're going to think two things the moment that you see this post: 1. "Really Jenny, spring clothes again? Get over it," and, 2. "Stop posting so much damn stuff from Steven Alan. We get it. You love that shop." Well, to all of you, I say "I do what I want." Yes, I may have a minor obsession with both spring clothing and Steven Alan. So sue me (Editor's note: don't sue me). All of these dresses look so damn breezy and effortless. The sandals would let my poor wool sock suffocated feet breathe, and give me an excuse to go get a pedicure. Even if it only reaches the measly 50s this weekend, I will find a way to wear a dress and sandals if it's the last thing I do (which, let's face it, it might be because I'll probably freeze to death). Bring it on weather.

FLORA

Though I definitely feel like I veer more towards Tomboy in my day-to-day style, I've always been fond of items that are indulgently girly. I love a good dress, and I adore a great floral print. Mix a menswear staple with something feminine, like the floral print on that Steven Alan button down, and I'm sold (I literally own at least five different floral shirts like this in various color palettes). What can I say? I love me a good blossom.

CHARMING FILM | WHEN HARRY MET SALLY

one / two / three / four

One of my favorite movies to watch around this time of year is the oh-so-classic "When Harry Met Sally" aka the movie that somehow makes women swoon over Billy Crystal. Not only is it the best romantic comedy of all time (don't even try to argue with me on this one), but it also has beautiful shots of New York in the most glorious of seasons: fall. When I was thinking about this movie recently, I surprised myself by really admiring Meg Ryan's wardrobe. Usually I would not reflect fondly on 80s fashion, but I have to say that there's something about Sally's menswear-inspired style that really works. So in honor of Sally Albright, here's a collection of pieces that I think that the famously particular lady would love.

CHARMING THREADS | FALL WISH LIST: MADEWELL

one / two / three / four / five / six / seven / eight

With a new season comes a new excuse to buy clothes. I like to keep my buying minimal as I would rather spend more money on a quality item and have less clothing overall. Also, I tend to live in small apartments, so this helps me not have to get angry at small closets. Fall is probably my favorite season for getting dressed, so I thought that I would share a list of great pieces from all of my favorite shops over the next couple of weeks to help me narrow down what will get on my must purchase list. First stop, the always dependable Madewell
